[Ben Wafer] That makes a certain sense, and that would probably be the general rule for most sj organizations, but at the same time, I see some of them deciding that they need an extensive groundling colony here and there. In particular I see the Shou Lung and the IEN following this model. The Shou are ultimately a groundling culture that has become relatively successful in space, and I see them setting up colonies to grow cash crops, mine rare minerals, and otherwise produce valuable resources to be shipped back to the homeland for the Emperor's profit (at the expense of most of the colonists). The IEN, on the other hand, strikes me as an organization that wouldn't want to be forced to rely on deals with groundling nations to support them, so they'd create colonies on likely worlds in order to support the spacefaring elves. > That makes sense. [Ben Wafer] I'd love to see us work out the course of the war within the known spheres! > Don't forget the Elven Exiles. They broke off from the fleet and went > their > own way. I don't recall ever seeing it in a published sj product. It could be a fun thing to do with a couple of spheres outside of the known spheres. > I would argue that specific kingdoms (or planets) of humans would have > done > better than other groups of humans. [Ben Wafer] Agreed on all counts. I would like to see the Company of the Chalice be a group that arose during the first unhuman war. Maybe the POTs too, for that matter.
