jealously protects its trade secrets (navigational charts written in code
that can only be deciphered by members - any members suspected of disclosing
guild secrets are hunted down by assassins), and will go to extreme lengths

[Ben Wafer] I don't know much about Krynnspace (it's the only SJ product
that I don't own a hard copy of - I have a pdf, but I haven't done more than
skim through it), but that sounds reasonable. I take it you're working that
into the supplement to Krynnspace that you're working on?

[Ben Wafer] I agree. I think that one of the primary goals of each
individual sphere's chapter of the Company of the Chalice would be to find
like-minded local organizations that they could ally with. The local
organizations would concentrate primarily on local issues, while the Company
would concentrate primarily on issues that could threaten multiple spheres,
although the Company would assist the local organizations as needed, and
vice versa.

[Ben Wafer] Yeah, they could definitely be a splinter group of the POTs, or
if not they should be allied with them.
