But a privateer works for a king or government and a pirate works for 
himself. Would you call a bounty hunter a self-employed law-enforcement 
officer or a pirate? Privateers would think of themselves as government 
agents.

I think you have mentioned him before.

He sounds like his eithics are a bit like those of Han Solo from Star Wars 
to me. Willing to help people, as long as he gets paid.
