I had that weird thought yesterday: Why are the conflicts between elves and the various goblinoid races called the unHUMAN wars? I think I remember reading somewhere an explanation along the lines of "humans did not side with the elves, so the elves called it the unhuman war in a cynical way" (or something like that...), but I could well have misremembered that. I I didnt have misremembered, however, I propose we find other in-game names for the two wars. Because I find these names as illogical as calling for example the falkland war the "non-asian war" because no asian nations were involved. Why calling a thing after what it is NOT rather than what it is anyway? An alternative would be that "unhuman wars" is how the humans of wildspace call them. It would at least explain the humano-centric feel (but would still be a bit illogical, see the falkland-argument). I think the elves might call it something along the lines of 'the great cleaning' or 'Corellon's battle' (referring to the mythic battle between Corellon and Gruumsh). I have no idea how the other side would call it; I guess the 'Great Cleaning' might be an orcish/scro-ish name for the conflict as well, only that they see the pointy-ears as the stain on the known spheres that has to be cleansed...
