Nope didn't work :( generally only direct emails and binary newsgroups
can allow files to be added.
Good try though :)

Subject: [SPELLJAMMER] Hopefully: my ship dimensions data sheet

Ok, with any luck this works, if not, well, I'll know better ;-).

The (hopefully) attached spreadsheet contains four sheets.

The first lists the hull dimensions and overall (including things like
masts and wings) dimensions of spelljammer ships, along with their
ceiliung
height and calculated volume.

These were scaled of deckplans (where available) or available pictures
of
the ships.

The other three sheets contain corrected dimensions, scaled so that the
ships' volume matches its stated hull tonnage. As tonnage is a fairly
important stat in Spelljammer (determining hull points, crew/cargo
capacity, max. weapons loadout, and what sort of helms will function on
the
ship) I thought it was important not to change it (but see below).

The three sheets are for three different values for how big a ton is:

1 ton = 100 cubic yards (as stated in the original campaign setting)
1 ton = 50 cubic yards (as used in Leroy's ship design system, and thus
in
widespread use).
1 ton = 1000 cubic feet (as used in Hackjammer, although ship tonnages
have
been re-scaled on this sheet so ATM it is the same as the 100 cubic
yards
sheet - I may have another look at this one, depending how well my
guesses
as to which Hackjammer ship is equivalent to which Spelljammer ship).

For a few ships (mostly those that already exceed 100 tons) I've
included
alternative, larger versions who either have a tonnage that matches
their
stated dimensions, or who have been re-sized to match their artwork.
Most
of these have their proposed tonnage included in the ship name.

At the moment, it includes every officially produced 2nd. edition
Spelljammer ship I could find, and (hopefully) all the Hackjammer ships.
I
haven't included any of the Spider Moon ships.

Anyway, if this actually works, I hope the file if of use to someone,

Charles
