-The original illustration looks like either gold or yellowish
organic-crystal? I think I'll go for an organic dark blue-green at base
(like the hull) to a light green yellow at top.
-Portholes, ah GOOD POINT! That had been bugging me, elven ship, thus it
should have plenty of windows or the like. Hence I went with the box
cover's huge crystal pane/sportholes, but adding some onto the other
decks would be good, IMHO.
-Well battlements make sense, but not many ways to do 'em :( Hm,
Warhammer style, any pics/links explanations of? :)

>From my work on it, adding a lower deck to the main body (which is
obvious oversight from the deckplans), I think this lower deck in main
body would be the cargo deck. The tail part with big crystal panes
should be the living quarters, or arborium etc :) 
Elves do NOT like dark caverns to live in (less they are drow, hehe),
they'd want big rooms with large windows. Elves != dwarves or humans.

Just want to chime in with a "WOW!" as well :)  Very
nice job, can't wait to see it textured & finished.  I
love the gold bowspirit, that is beautiful.  Screams
for a nice dark texture, or maybe ivory white (hmmm, I
could see a number of color patterns that'd work with
that).  Could possibly use some portholes along the
main & castle decks. The only other nitpick would be
the battlements don't look "elvish" (silly, I know;
not sure there's anything else out there that'd look
better, other than maybe something from Warhammer).
