I read them from time to time. I enjoy them, and quite frankly they have
kept me on the list despite my last group staging a mutiny to become
'regular' adventurers again. I still like SJ. The fractured source
material and lack of players whom are interested leaves me lurking
instead of putting any energies into it.

Paul. They are sometimes fairly long, and I don't always
have time to read a long post. So sometimes I save a few up, and when I have
enough spare time, I read them all in one go.
On the SJML they are "push" content, and don't really demand replies. So, I
think people here read them and then move onto the next post, without giving
you any feedback.
However, I think that *if* the old Jammers summaries were edited* into
adventure length electronic books and submitted to electronic book websites,
there would be an audience out there downloading them that would proove to
you that people *were* interested in reading fantasy space adventure
stories.
(* = By "editied" I mean:
1) remove all references to things like "events happening in the psionic
landscape" and replace them with descriptive text that does the same thing
in the context of the story;
2) swap names like "Chapter 1" and "Chapter 2" for names, like "The Jammers
of Wildspace" and "The Jammers and the Chalice of Storms", that work as
short story names;
3) pull out references to things like page numbers of Spelljammer products
and replace them with descriptive text that explains that thing to someone
who has no prior knowledge of Spelljammer;
4) perhaps combine some turns together to make short story chapters and
5) maybe get a bit of artwork for each chapter or a "cover painting".)
I'm not saying that you *should* go to the trouble of editing these and
republishing them, just trying to say that they have the potential to appeal
to people outside the SJML and BtM. I think if you had this stuff out as
something like a PalmReader file, people who have never heard of
Spelljammer, would be blown away by this amazing universe your stories were
set in.
I enjoy reading Jammers turns, but think the stories are a little bit wasted
on a mailing list, even when that mailing list is one dedicated to
Spelljammer. We just act like spacefareres and say: "oh look, its an
eelship" when we *should* be as excited as groundlings.
:-)
Keep 'em coming Paul.
