While this is an interesting logical extension, it's just not supported by core canon. The Astromundi Cluster product makes it clear that the key to moving through Clusterspace's crystal sphere is using a living ship, such as an Elven vessel, but the writings on the Pirates of Gith make it explicitly clear that their ability to shift a vessel into the Astral requires a ship of Elven make. I'm not so terribly inclined to expand the power of the Gith to make Smalljammers or leeched Kindori fall under the umbrella-coverage of this power. However, if you do read the Astromundi product closely, in particular the passages dealing with Clusterspace's relationship to the other Planes of existence, you will note that it is possible in any vessel (if the Helmsman is aware of the secret, which per the text is guarded by Elves) to travel from the phlogiston immediately outside Clusterspace into the Ethereal plane.
