Well, it is a different opinion too. Perhaps it is the old philosophy
student in me, but I'd consider any opinion that is phrased with a 'not'
modifier as negative and an opinion without it to be positive.

So far example:
- "I do not like the name Mercane. It is stupid." Is a negative oppinion.

- "I like the furry races. I play a lupin ranger." Is a possitive one.

Much like smilies, it has an impact on tone. :-D
