Kewl!!

The wings were pain for me, but, I use Rhino, so it's mostly like
etechnical drawing, you create curves to define a shape, then loft them
:)

My write-up of the Iron Monks is temporarily on hold while I give my
brain time to chew on what I wrote. I'll make another edit soon. In the
meantime, Silverblade's fantastic artwork has inspired me to try and
finish up a very old project: the Flynn-class Man-O-War. Here's my
original image from several years ago. I barely knew how to use
trueSpace at the time, and never figured out how to do the wings.

Over the years, I tried in vain to figure out how to do the wings. A
couple of weeks ago, I figured it out. As I put the wings on the old
model, I decided to do what Steven did and base my 3D model on the
deckplans. That really worked out well, I must say! As a result, I've
redesigned the Arilyn Flynn. Here are the links to what I have so far.

I don't have a volume calculator in trueSpace but thankfully I learned
how to calculate the volume of a mesh and then wrote a program using
Microsoft Game Studio Express to calculate the Flynn's volume. Flynn
works out to 60.17 SJ tons using Leroy's system.
