The spell he's describing sounds like 'Delay Death' from Spell 
Compendium- Was that deliberate or is it just a coincidence? BTW have 
you considered installing an RSS or ATOM feed so that readers can 
subscribe to the comic and have their feed reader tell them when it updates?

Anyway, cool comic, very nice art.
