You know you're a Spelljammer nerd when you compare canon SJ races to 
canon Star Trek races in order to analyze the alignment and tendencies of 
imaginary sentient alien creatures the Star Trek universe and then attempt 
to define similarities and differences between the major imaginary 
sentient alien space faring races of the SJ universe and the imaginary 
sentient aliens in the Star Trek universe.

(And then of course post these findings on an internet discussion board.)
