Chakra Helm

A chakra helm uses the inherent energy that he body
produce. It operates as a minor or major helm. Using a
chakra helm can drain the practitioner of all of his
reserve chakra for the day.

Chakra is similar to Chi, but almost used as a spell
type energy. The chakra practitioner has a reserve
amount of energy when they start the day. They can
channel this energy to heal, attack and defend. They
can use it to heal their body or another being by
manipulating the chakra of the person. An attack can
be from chakra channeled to the fist, feet or any part
of the body and manifest as lightning bolts, fiery
hand or cold touch. A few defensive use can be as a
chakra shield that deflects material objects directed
to the user, using chakra aura as protection from evil
or undead, or simply manifested chakra armor. Chakra
can also be used to manipulate the iron inside a
person to do damage, use light skills (allows to run
on top of water) or use iron skin techniques. A person
can use their chakra to do massive damage using a
punch or kick that can destroy or damage anything hit.
At higher levels, practitioners can levitate, fly, or
run faster. Even higher level practitioner can
manifest their chakra out of their body so to use long
distance attack instead of touch attacks.

Shapeshifting Helm

A shapeshifting helm is a major helm used to power
spelljamming ships. It's major power is an alteration
magic that can change the shape of the ship it is
attached currently. The shape would be the same rough
equivalent mass as the former ship or material used to
create the ship. The material would be unchanged, but
would conform to the shape of the new ship. Wood,
stone, or metal material would fused together creating
the ship.

Ancient shapeshifting helms require ship that has been
built before it can used its power to change the shape
of the ship. The newer version of the helm allowed it
to shapeshift an equivalent amount of raw materials
needed to create the new ship. It takes weeks to craft
a ship by this methods with the helmsman manning the
ship as the ship is changing shape. It only takes one
hour to reshape the ship if the ship only need to
change shape. If the ship would be bigger than the
previous ship, then new raw materials must be brought
on board that the magic can used to add mass when
crafting the ship. A smaller ship design would force
the helm to eject materials from the ship. Some of the
helms only allow 24 hours or until the helmsman leave
the helm before reverting to to the previous ship or
raw materials, while a few rare ones permanently alter
the ship. Any material left on board, including living
creatures (save versus petrification to escape being
absorb) not including the helmsman, would be
incorporated into the ship if there are not enough
mass to convert to the new ship design. The helmsman
must have a fundamental understanding of shipwright
and the design of the new ship. The ship would have
severe problems such as lower hull points, lower
tonnage cargo capacity, lower maneuverability, wrong
arrangement of cabins, more crew and others if the
ship helmsman does not know the design of the new
ship.
The transformation would fail if not enough material
is present to support the change to the new ship
design.

Shipwright Helm

A minor spelljamming helm that is capable of turning
new raw materials into small spelljamming ship. The
helmsman does not need to know about shipwright or
ship designs for the helm to create a new ship since
the helm create the ship. The helm is capable of
building only a few types of ships. It can create a
cog, coaster, or caravel. It takes weeks to create the
ship. It can used as a secondary helm and an
emergency helm for stranded crew.

Illusion Helm

A type of minor or major helm that can use illusion to
cloak itself. The illusion ability can be used three
times a day per shift of the helmsman. The most used
illusion were the ones that shows the ship to be
another type of ship several size bigger or smaller
than the current ship. The helmsman knowledge of the
ship being copied can produce better results of the
illusion. Any person or helmsman in another ship or
port can recognize the deception if they are using a
magical item that can detect illusions or ability or
spells effect that allows them to see through the illusion.
