Legally artwork has always been fuzzy, much more so
than even game mechanics. From a legal copyright, I
believe (and I'm no lawyer!) that *you* own your
version of the wasp ship; it is significantly
different from the one printed by TSR. Really, I
think the only way you can get in trouble for artwork
copyright is if you just about traced the original.
So long as your artwork is significantly different
from an original (such as not to be mistaken for the
original; I'm not sure what the wording on the law
is), you're in the clear. TSR/WotC always was more
worried about people taking their artwork, scanning
it, & putting it online without permission, anyways.
