Okay, here is the current state of my notes. I think I have just about fixed the keyboard issues I was having so typos should be minimal. I am also including notes for my integration of Carrigmoor from Monte Cook's Beyond Countless Doorways. In my campaign Carigspace is a distant sphere midpoint on a Phlogiston river between superclusters of cyrstal spheres. There will be further development coming soon, and I am looking forward to any further input. I am considering making Andru a Thrall of Some Devil Or Another. *Geonomicon Setting Notes* *Bral*- The Rock has expanded significantly over the decades. It now comprises a cluster of approximately 20 asteroids with many more that have been pulled into the gravity web for development. - *Old Bral* – the original asteroid is the oldest part of the city. Pretty much untouched from the original. - *Celestian's Stepping Stone* – This is the main temple and training ground of the Celestians. A true campus, it includes classroom buildings, dormatories, & student facilities along with the temple. Emissaries from many of the major trading houses usually look for new helmsmen amongst the student adepts. - *Al' Ptahkek*- This rock acts as the main headquarters for the Temple to Ptah. The stately temple complex and dock for their barges was partially funded by an historic collaboration with the Celestians. 130 years ago Kaolin, the High Priestess of the Rock's Temple, arranged an agreement with Chel-Hotep, High Priest of Ptah on the Rock, in which the Celestians would provide funding and access to the Sigilian Portal in exchange for assistance in guarding their assets. The much more organized Temple of Ptah set aside its differences and agreed. - *The Low Stones* - 1-3 asteroids covered by cheap rowhouses, inhabited by descendants of refugees from that Black Months event. Rumor has it that the many disappearances that occur here are the responsibility of the Tenth Pit, others attribute them to the illithids. Whatever the reason, people tend to vanish on a regular basis. The Juggler's Men have expanded their area of influence to cover these neighborhoods. - *Haze Rock* - where forges, tanneries, & other "undesirable" industries are found. There is a high dwarf/gnome presence here, including regular representatives from Ironpiece. - *Guilders Rest* - better homes, where artisans & craftsmen dwell. Each of Brals major guilds keeps offices here, including a small way station of the Planewalkers Guild. - *The Forest* - "Central Park" of Bral, a whole asteroid of nothing but trees. A big park, serves double-duty as atmosphere cleaner. - *The Grainfields* - farming asteroids run by the "Green Alliance" (fertility/cultivation deities such as Demeter) that produce much of the food needed by the city. Due to the cleric/druid efforts, the production here is way higher than it should be. - *Ferries* - 50-ton tradesmen, gutted so they can carry as many people as possible, make routine trips from one asteroid to the other, carrying up to 500 people at one time. The "subway" or "busing" system of Bral. - *The Hive*- Three small asteroids that make up a Xixchil neighborhood and hospital complex. Founded by Taj Pach, a Cerebremancer and member of House Seven Stars, it consists of about 100 xixchil and numerous surgeries. The Hive is known for producing a large number of psionic capable xixchil. This is also where the Seven Stars Hospital ship, The Nerve Threader, is docked when it is not on a mission. - *Eye of the Sunrise-* This rock is an ever changing "art installation," owned outright by Hastain the Reigar. It is also used for decadent parties of massive scope. *College** of Celestian- Over the past 200 years the College of Celestianhas been in control of a gate to Sigil (City of Doors, Planescape) which has given them access to almost every plane of existence. The Arcane have become constant customers, and show a distinct aversion to entering the City of Doors. Rumor has it they are based out of a demiplane called Union (Epic Level Handbook). Also, due to the presence of this portal the EIN have now stationed a Lionheart class station in Bralspace called __________ in the sphere. Andru holds firm that it approach no closer than 10,000 miles past the small grouping of asteroids the Rock claims as its territory. * *The Scro- *The Unhuman War II broke the back of the Scro War machine, then a mere 20 years later a plague swept their population and it is only in the past twenty years or so that they have begun to return as a major wildspace presence. Dugkash is now a recognized Scro God and grants spells in most spheres that have a scro presence of 1,000 or more. *The Vodoni Empire* has NOT yet discovered Known Space (it inhabits a neighboring supercluster). *The Discovery of an Outpost of the Elders* (Juna) by House Seven Stars of Bral is 200 old. Due to a strange energy pulse the intervening 2 centuries have seen a massive spike in psionics and sorcery across the known spheres (This represents the transition to the 3.5 rule set in my universe.) *The Elven Fleet* unveiled both psionic helms and cloaking helms about 100 years ago. As far as anyone knows they still hold a monopoly on them. Rumors, as always, surface of pirates and slavery with these unusual helms. Many discount them as distorted stories of the Pirates of Gith. The Fleet maintains very good diplomatic relations with the Celestians as they place great value on their access to Arvandor through the Sigilian Portal. *History tells of the "Black Months*," a time 200 years prior when the suns dimmed across the local supercluster of spheres and stayed that way for 3 months. Chaos and confusion were coupled with famine as crops failed on most planets. While many theories and legends surround this period there is no way to verify them. The Gods remain silent on the subject, and scrying seems to be blocked. *House Seven Stars-* Due to their status derived from open access to the Portal to Sigil (in the Celestian Temple) House Seven Stars has become a powerhouse of trade across not only several spheres, but also several planes. They maintain a fleet of 300 ships, with an oversized octopus ship christened Valis as the flagship. (DM note: Valis is equipped with both planar sails and an ethership power core in addition to a major helm.) The also have high up connections in both Snail Outfitters and The Planewalkers Guild. *CARRIGMOOR* After the Great Upheaval, the guilds who had run Sigil for centuries saw the new factions as a terrible threat to their power. Already they had seized control of many of the Cage's most crucial centers of power. The common histories don't say how ruthless the Fated were in taking over the office of taxation, or how uncompromising the Godsman takeover of the Great Foundry was. When the Hall of Speakers passed a law declaring dual membership in both a guild and a faction illegal, the guilds were sure it was their death sentence. A little-known but ambitious gate-city called Carrigmoor was their salvation. Although founded by wizards - refugees from the destruction of an entire world - almost a century before, Carrigmoor had not had much luck persuading planar merchants to use its newly minted portals. Eager for planar-savvy contacts, the masters of the city gave the guilds generous offers of power and influence if they would relocate to Carrigmoor. The Planewalker's Guild moved to the Infinite Staircase instead, while others settled for a lesser role in Sigil, but enough of the guilds accepted Carrigmoor's offer that it was suddenly elevated from Obscure Clueless Hole to Exciting New Place to Be. With the knowledge and experience of the exiled guilds, soon trade and skilled professionals were coming to Carrigmoor from all across the planes. For a time, it seemed as if Carrigmoor would rival the City of Doors itself. Then, about forty years ago, Carrigmoor suffered a terrible plague. Reports of the exact nature of this disease are mixed. Some of the oldest guilders insist they symptoms were identical to the plague that decimated most of the Free League soon after Sigil's Great Upheaval. Others said it was more of a drain on creativity and spirit taken to extremes, a more immediately fatal strain of what was once known as the Iron Shadow. Still others compared the malady to devil chills or other feared lower planar diseases. Members of the enigmatic race known as the Merchants Arcane, or simply the mercane, came to the decimated, terrified population of Carrigmoor and told them that they had recently created a city of their own, and that they were offering space for merchants and artisans at very reasonable rates. Desperate for escape, much of the remaining citizenry of Carrigmoor accepted. Only those too poor to leave or too proud to give up their power remained. A few even blamed the mercane for starting the plague, but most dismissed this idea as pure paranoia.
