I instituted a magic item solution: A Gravity Rune maintains the ship's gravity plane within the confines of the hull (as long as the hull is 60%intact). This means you can be parked on a field outside Waterdeep, but the lower decks still have reversed gravity. Generally offered as a pcakage deal with the helm. Available only from the Arcane/Mercane. Saves a lot of headache and makes for good ambush scenes when groundlings board... -Loki On 3/12/07, Nathaniel Olsen <putermajor@????.ca> wrote: > > As I recall the docks at bral and other spaceports are built along the > line meaning that you park your ship so that it retains the same gravity. > This is necessary to prevent the ship itself from falling down. > > On Thu, 08 Mar 2007 11:38:58 -0700, Steven > <steven.james.1@??????????.??.uk> wrote: > > > All ships can "land"...think what happens when your wasp docks at the > > rock > > of bral etc? ;) > > > > ----------------------------------------------------------- > > I'd rather be a Fool who believes in Dragons, > > Than a King who believes in Nothing. > > ----------------------------------------------------------- > > www.silverblades-suitcase.com > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Spelljammer Setting Discussion > > [mailto:SPELLJAMMER-L@??????.???????.com] On Behalf Of Nathaniel Olsen > > Sent: 07 March 2007 20:20 > > To: SPELLJAMMER-L@??????.???????.com > > Subject: Re: [SPELLJAMMER] Note on helms and reversed gravity > > > > This should only apply to shis that can land actually. > > > > On Mon, 19 Feb 2007 11:24:17 -0700, Steven > > <steven.james.1@??????????.??.uk> wrote: > > > >> Which means as an important part of SJ design, all ships MUST have > their > >> helms in gravity "Normal" orientation areas! > >> > >> Not to much problem if helmsman has levitation/Fly but...you see the > >> problem? ;) > >> > > > -- > Sledge > -- > > ******************************************************************** > The D&D Homepage: http://www.wizards.com/dnd > The Spelljammer Homepage: http://www.spelljammer.org > To unsubscribe, send email to LISTSERV@??????.???????.com > with UNSUB SPELLJAMMER-L in the body of the message. > -- George "Loki" Williams, writing and other abberrations Humid City http://humidcity.com Defend New Orleans http://www.defendneworleans.com Consolidated Contact Info http://humidcity.com/more-humidity/contact/
