Wow this is cool :)

I think of the Flow rivers like the Gulf Stream or the like. Even though
they maybe smaller than a Crystal Sphere, that is still so mind bogglingly
HUGE, that Flow "rivers" should be bloody enormous, HOWEVER, that is also in
the context of the vastness of the Flow itself, so, finding them maybe hard
if you don't know directions.

I.e. Imagine you're wanting to travel from the USA to the UK, if oyu don't
know abou the Gulf Stream and weather conditions you can be SOOOOO out of
luck, or dead....but if you do, well you can vastly cut your travel time
down.

Oh, and on previous post, yes, gnomes are to DMs, what whoopee cushions are
to party's :>

I've pulled 12 facts out of the Concordance of Arcane Space that relate to
this. There might be other things I've missed. In fact looking back at this
I think that we (SJ list writers) may have made some assumptions about the
flow that don't fit in with Jeff Grubb's vision of it.

Page 9 of CoAS has a section tells us about the size of "Crystal Shells"
(why don't we use that alternate name more guys?):

1) "Usually a sphere has a radius of at least twice as big as the orbit of
the orbital radius of the outermost celestial body in the system (i.e., the
distance from the shell to the outermost body of the system is the same as
the distance from that outermost body to the centre point of the system)."

*snip cause the email thing rejected my 1st reply due to it being too many
lines, sigh!*
