I think the biggest drawback to the beholder designs
is that they don't really use the beholder eye powers
very well...with their charm eyes, I'd expect a
beholder ship to have fewer true beholders (say 2-5,
tops), more beholder-kin (which are completely
ignored), and a number of charmed slaves (goblin-kin,
humans, halflings, etc).  Maybe a few conventional
weapons, maybe some more "wierd" weapons.

Anyways, just some ramblings :)

Other than simply drawing it & accepting it won't be
really "displayable" as a true deckplan, no, not
really.  On the right track, though.
