Latest work, cross section showing interiors :) http://www.silverblades-suitcase.com/rhino/wasp6.jpg mostly stuck to original layout, but, crew/galley are 10' longer, now have 3 areas in the under deck. Note this image shows the problem with reversed gravity...the forward lower deck will need a small stair to allow folk to get UP from the curving hull to the doorway ;) ----------------------------------------------------------- I'd rather be a Fool who believes in Dragons, Than a King who believes in Nothing. ----------------------------------------------------------- www.silverblades-suitcase.com -----Original Message----- From: Spelljammer Setting Discussion [mailto:SPELLJAMMER-L@??????.???????.com] On Behalf Of Adam Miller Sent: 15 February 2007 22:57 To: SPELLJAMMER-L@??????.???????.com Subject: Re: [SPELLJAMMER] Building the Wasp in 3d --- Steven <steven.james.1@??????????.??.uk> wrote: > Well here's pic of some more of the top deck, I > decided to make the wings "workable" by the > crew...otherwise why would you NEED crew for > maneuverability, hm? ;) > So they can be rotated by the crew using capstans. You might also consider adding a central main mast in the middle of those wheels, with support lines running down to the sail-wings. A crow's nest might be on top, as well as acting as a flagpole. Also, anchor-weights would be needed to offset the weight of the sail-wings, so that the wings can flap up & down. Lots of rope, although that might be difficult to render.
