Subject: [SPELLJAMMER] Krynnspace inconsistency

You are not the only person to have issues with SJR7. That is why we started
the recent discussion about Krynnspace. I already know you think there is
not enough DL or SJ flavor, but if you have a list of specific things that
you need fixing I'd love to hear what they are.

That someone was me.

That makes sense.

Me too. DL fans that dislike Spelljammer seem to see the port as a really
stupid idea. I wish that SJR7 had put the Ansalon port in Mount Nevermind
(where it wouldn't really do any damage).

> You can find this, with footnotes, in my timeline.

Thanks Paul. I had forgotten that you had made this (doh!). It is really
fantastic! I hope that Static includes it in a SJCS PDF at some point in the
future. (I can see myself sitting down with a calculator to convert all the
dates to DL and FR dates to make it easier to compare this timeline to the
DLCS (and FRCS). I'd like to work out when *all* the empires and
organisations on Ansalon (and after that Talidas) were at their peek (and
therefore more likely to have some sort of presence in the rest of
Krynnspace). Would it be possible for you to add the other dates (BC/AC for
DL and DR for FR) in brackets, next time you revise this, as that would help
other people who want to use/improve Krynnspace and Realmspace.)

I saw those two events in the timeline, but you don't seem to have specuated
a date for the port to open. I'd say that we should tie it in to Teldin
Moore and have it open shortly after he leaves. I *suppose* that the events
on Krynn in Beyond the Moons may have renewed interest in Krynn and brought
several SJ groups to Palanthus/Palanthas. So, we could make both products
"right" by doing that.

SJR7 talks about Spacefarer's establishing churches, so I'd say that divine
intervention (by the local gods) would probably be inevitable at some stage.
Dragonhelm's Guide has this port (and the one in Taladas) getting blown up
by the Dragonfleet in 383 AC (I'm not sure what that is in OC) so we can
"reinvent" this port as something that is only open for a few years. The
local population can be put off of Spelljamming by the Dragonfleet attack
and loose interest in Spelljamming again. (We could use Spelljamming
versions of Krynn organisations (and even the local branch of the EIN) to
enforce a blockade of Spelljammers on Ansalon after that date.)

(I love that minotaur port in Taladas too. I don't think that conflicts with
the DL setting as much as the one in Palanthus/Palananthas and your
Tauruspace crystal sphere really fits in well with the port - I can imagine
minotaur traffic between the the two crystal spheres. We will have to
consider "rebuilding" it when we finish dealing with Ansalon and move on to
tackling the Taladas of the 5th Age.)
