Works for me.  It should remain fairly simple from the
onset; the more detail added, the less will get done. 
Although I will note that "Status" gets very iffy when
involving NPCs from adventures; who survives an
adventure very much depends on how the PCs play things
out.

If/when we have a summary of NPCs, we can look at
fleshing them out.  Might also be a good time to get a
listing of all named spelljammers, as well.  Maybe a
format like:

Name: <name>
Hull: <the design, such as a hammership>
Captain: <some named NPC>
Notible Crew: <any other named NPCs>
References: <say Skulls & Crossbows, page X>
Notes: <something like "Works for the Tenth Pit">
