If we do eventually do Takhisispace, then we could keep the big things (the
planets) the same but fiddle around with the little things (that wouldn't be
seen from Krynn). So we could give the planets in the "new Krynnspace" a
different number of moons. Alternatively we could add things like asteroid
belts that help with setting up spacefaring communities.

Its great that Trampas came back and started that off. I wouldn't have
thought of using "Takhisispace" without seeing "Reorxspace" first. I think
it would certainly help BtM ringfence the new material (that was compatible
with the Age of Mortals) from the older Krynnspace (that was compatible with
the new SJCS). That could help stop Paul grumbling too! (joke) ;-)

LOL - Hang on...

.."One big moon"? Where did that moon go when the DL gods took Krynn's
original moons from Reoxspace to Takhisispace? I can't find anything about
the return of the moons in the DLCS hardback (although it *is* obvious that
they *are* back).

If the DLCS doesn't need that moon anymore then perhaps we could have it
sent back (along the River of Souls) to Krynn's orbit after Krynn's moons
are taken. That could give us one empty moon and one "space station".

The moon could even contain some of those "alien dragons" (dragon
overlords?) who could come back to Reorxspace and start dragon wars across
the sphere. Keen to travel across Krynnspace to the various planets where
they could eat local dragons, these dragon overlords may disguise themselves
as humans and act as crewmen or helmsmen. Or they might form an open
alliance with on of the existing spacefaring organisations. I'm thinking
Dragonlance meets Highlander!

:-D

Same here. I'll go with the *easiest* solution that preserves (or better
still, improves) both the SJ and DL feeling of the crystal sphere. I don't
especially care if that turns out to be my idea, your idea, a mixture of
both our ideas or something someone else chips in with. Like you, I'll go
with what is best for the crystal sphere. I'm sure anything we don't use
here can get recycled elsewhere.

I'd agree with keeping it unknown. We should also make it hard to use, so
that most people can't just go flying through it.

Perhaps the wormhole only opens if a Cleric, Druid or Ranger (worshiping a
DL) or a Wizard of High Sorcery casts the Create Portal spell on the
wormhole. Spacefarers are not going to expect to use that spell away from
the edge of a crystal sphere so we could give it a secondary use that people
are not aware of.

Alternatively the wormhole itself may have discriminatory powers that
prevent people getting through if they do not belong in Takhisispace. It may
refuse to open if a helmsman is not a Wizard of High Sorcery or a divine
servant of the gods (someone with a medallion of faith). It may refuse to
open if someone with orc blood is nearby.

If the Knight's of Krynnspace captured Takhisis's flying citadel they could
be the guardians of the wormhole. You could keep up the DS9 feel, by having
all the weapons, and equipment on the room belong to the former evil
occupants. There could be unexplored levels in the station that contain
traps.

I've just realised an alternate solution for the Wizards of High Sorcery. If
we *do* create a wormhole between the two spheres then the Wizards of High
Sorcery could get their power indirectly from Krynn's three moons via the
wormhole. They would receive more and less power during high and low
sanctions, but would have no way to see where the moons were for themselves.
The beauty of this solution is that we then don't need to create additional
moons or aspects to deal with DL spellcasters who want to regain spells. The
one wormhole can do it all.

(Tinker gnomes could create clockwork versions of Krynn and its moons that
help wizards calculate when they will be at high and low sanction.)
