Hi Steven, I like your images. Makes me more aware just now little I've done vis a vie renderings despite all the software sitting on my hard drive. That pre-release software wouldn't happen to be Terragen 2 would it? Nice clouds. ~Kevin G ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steven" <steven.james.1@??????????.??.uk> To: <SPELLJAMMER-L@??????.???????.com> Sent: Wednesday, November 29, 2006 5:39 PM Subject: Re: [SPELLJAMMER] Nautiloid Peaks (SJ art) Thanks mate :) Alas I'm using a new piece of software, it's pre-release so very buggy, really had to fight to get it to do that render, so can't do much tweaking, sigh, when they got full version or updates it will help :) ----------------------------------------------------------- I'd rather be a Fool who believes in Dragons, Than a King who believes in Nothing. ----------------------------------------------------------- www.silverblades-suitcase.com -----Original Message----- From: Spelljammer Setting Discussion [mailto:SPELLJAMMER-L@??????.???????.com] On Behalf Of Adam Miller Sent: 29 November 2006 23:56 To: SPELLJAMMER-L@??????.???????.com Subject: Re: [SPELLJAMMER] Nautiloid Peaks (SJ art) --- Steven <steven.james.1@??????????.??.uk> wrote: > A nautiloid cruises high over the mountains. You're nautaloid is getting better and better. I kinda lean towards the liberated ship, because its painted white (illithids tend towards red & black and fearsome colors ;) ) Couple of things, though. * The back sails just scream out for patterns, ropes, tears, etc to give them a little character. * I just realized that the flagpole has a crosspiece in it, but there's nothing there. It looks...odd. So much could be done there, from something as simple as a small sail to a banner to "bits" (such as skulls/skeletons hanging from chains, horns, a symbol like an eagle or mermaid; look at Warhammer banners for examples).
