Re: Races in Space

On a completely unrelated note:
I've gotten it into my head that I want a race for a game I want to run. The
idea for the race is similar to say the way things work for the dragons of
Pern. It was inspired primarily by a special on animal planet about how
humans and wolves evolved together so that they share the same ecological
niche that they were once competing for.

I want to take that a step further and have a race whose primary feature is
along the lines of the animal companion class feature. A mental link
together possibly. Some bonuses when working together. I guess some sort of
imprinting feature with the note that without the companionship of the
other, they are often rather insane and short lived.

Its a symbiotic relationship without the weird implanted slugs.
