STtNG mythology has a 'progenitor' race, and that's the reason
various of the races can inter-breed - I think medical help may
be needed to get a human/vulcan couple to be fertile.

Orcs by some sources are built to be inter-fertile with lots of
humanoids - so I have doubts about them.

That really just leaves elves/humans - lots of tradition to
support that! [grin]

And if you claim elves, vulcans and klingons can inter-breed, I'd
like to know what your source material is! [grin]

More variety makes for more interest. You can calculate the
benefits through severals ways...

I make humans, dwarves, elves, gnomes and half-elves about equal.
Halflings fall short (no pun), half-orcs really have it bad, and
by my calculation, orcs come out negative! Kobolds and goblins
both come out much better than orcs (if you're a goblin make sure
you're a warg rider), and hobgolbins roughly as halflings - I
don't think the +1 LA is reasonable. Gnolls aren't quite as good
as hobgoblins, even less excuse for +1 LA (and they have self-
control issues).

Dwarves come out top.

Of course, the system I'm using could be completely skewed! [grin]

SJ is fun because it lets you play the 'aliens', whether they are
furry, feathery, scaly or whatever.

They just need to be reasonably house-trained! [grin]

Didn't you like the obakeogi? [grin]

They really try hard not to come out of their shells!
