One very good reason that it can't be Illusion is that I'd think that is not much good for growing crops! Also, can an illusion of daylight allow you to see things in the dark? I based the spell, as you might have guessed, off Control Weather, and the idea was that it can't put something there that might not be there 'naturally'. I suppose I could drop all the messing with multiple moons, suns, and star patterns, though to make the apparent sun move across the sky is not, I think, much of a stretch to that. Why do you think this is Epic?
