Subject: Re: Multi Genesis in SJ
While history is arguably of secondary interest in SJ, the issue
of where various races came from, in particular if they are found
in several apparently unconnected crystal spheres, can be fun.

In the single genesis theory if you go back far enough then there
is one origin for each race, and they were spread by an ancient
SJ race.

However, this doesn't handle crystal spheres which were
definitely isolated before first SJ contact; you need multi
genesis.

Multi genesis can be quite fun, as you could claim that the
creation gods in different crystal spheres copied off each other,
or that similar races arise in different spheres with similar
laws and conditions. One advantage of this is that it allows
easy justification between slightly varient races. Another is
that it allows scro who were created from orcs who have never
heard of the IEN, and elves similar. Of course, it also allows
for real wierdness, like mind flayers who look like elves, until
their hair morphs into tentacles...

Thoughts?
