Well, I would say they do breathe, because it's silly to assume they don't based on a single passage in a single source that is written in such a way that it appears to reference some justification of the ability elsewhere, but really doesn't. What would the explanation for it be? I mean, it's not like you're talking about a race that can breathe both water and air. And other creatures that can survive in Wildspace without air (Kindori, Krajen) are fairly alien -- even moreso than the Neogi.
