Subject: Re: Crystal Shell behaviour proposal
I propose that we nail down the default for how the pseudo-
physical object/planar boundary that is a crystal shell interacts
with spelljamming.

1) I propose that the crystal shell causes any ship that
approaches too close to it to drop out of spelljamming speed into
tactical speed.

2) I propose that it is not possible to Crash into a crystal
shell, and if you do your ship and all its contents instantly and
harmlessly comes to a halt with respect to the shell.

3) I propose that where there are things on the crystal shell,
such as buildings, statues of gods holding the glowing globes
that are the stars, etc., it is quite possible to Crash into
these, and the normal Crashing rules are used. These things will
not normally be harmed by such a crash.

How does that sound?

I wouldn't expect that it would impact (no pun intended) too much
on most SJ settings, but I think we do need to be clear what
happens with maneuvering near a crystal shell.
