I use Rhino to build models (up to verison3 now, it rocks but it's
expensive)
Rendering I use Vue Infinite, I have Lightwave but too busy learning other
proggies at moment, too few brain cells to go around. lol.

I used to use Bryce, but found it way limited, very good beginner program,
though Vue Easel or Esprit and Carrara5 basic would be better for anyone
trying 3d art now.
