I'm pretty sure the two are the same.  I think it may be called
that, elsewhere.

That is not covered by the SJ rules; certainly I've not spotted
it in CoAS.  Presumably this is a Planespace issue?

I would have thought getting a whole ship onto the astral would
require more than just a SJ helm, though you might be able to use
it to move around once you got there.
