3rd edition vehicle combat is cumbersoem and bookkeeping heavy. You can find it in the Arms and Equipments Guide. There are a number of different variant systems available, none of which I am happy with. We should examine the options and then decide which one A) keeps the original flavor/play style best and B) is effective and user friendly. Now I have not really gotten to dig through the Stormwrack hardcover yet, but I gather it has a LOT of useful ship info including a concept I quite like, ship feats. Does anyone have access to this book and if so could you give us a breakdown? -Loki On 5/6/06, Dreamer <dreamer@??????.?????.??.uk> wrote: > In <URL:news:local.spelljam> on Sat 06 May, Terry Masson wrote: > > seems good to me mate... if you and/or any others use leroys 30 ship > > combat/construction systems then I'd suggest we take a shot at using > > that, but perhaps with some modification, I found it to lead to > > incredibly confusing and long winded battles mself.. either that or > > just say 'refer to SotSM battle section'? > > If we can use this while following the principle of 'minimum > change', then I would strongly be in favour of this. > > If there is something simpler that uses far more of the standard > 3rdEd combat system that I'd have thought we should seriously > consider that instead. > > I suppose that I'd better go and give it a thorough read-through, > though 3rdEd combat is probably the part of the new rules that > I'm least happy with. > > > > Tilaurin > > > > On 5/6/06, Dreamer <dreamer@??????.?????.??.uk> wrote: > > > I thought that I'd look at what changes are needed to the text of > > > CoAS.
