Thanks for the reply.  Some comments and questions:

If the purpose of this spell is to save the "man overboard", which the
original text sort of implies, it seems odd that it takes so long to cast.
I would think one standard action would make more sense.  Mind you, it seems
to me that a lot of the Spelljammer spells take an awfully long time to
cast.

Hm, they added spells in the adventures, too?  I might have to look for
these.

I haven't found the Astromundi cluster box anywhere yet, and I have a
feeling that it won't be easy, either.  I'd be grateful if someone could
post short descriptions.

Wouldn't this be a XP cost at 3.5e?

I suspect I can guess here.

It seems to me that there have been a bunch of 3e/3.5e conversions of
Spelljammer spells, but there isn't a single standard one everyone agrees
on, and possibly there isn't a complete one.
