:) Interesting read, Ben. Couple of thoughts I had while reading it: Modern Flitters - one thing I've long thought about is making there be a sort of "natural SJ speed" for creatures; not as fast as standard SJ speed, but fast enough to get from planet to planet in weeks or months rather than centuries. Maybe that could apply here? I do like the description of natural movement, though I do wonder: if all it takes is a bit of pressure to get the ship to move right, could a pilot also cast spells/use wands/shoot crossbows at the same time? Maybe movement costs something like 1 action, leaving the character free to do other stuff with any other actions he has? Archaic Flitter - good idea, completes the set of ancient elven ships. :) I suggest the sap is actually be produced naturally by the ship, perhaps when "rooted", maybe getting fully charged after a few days.
