Memory escapes me for now, but Lizard Men, Minotaurs and other powerful
monster now how have optional "Monster Classes" The concept was first introduced
in Savage Species. I know for a fact that this further influenced a certain
person after they converted the giff and I believe they were updated with this
wholly in mind.
