Well, I'm one of the authors but I've been pretty quiet. I hope on this list everyone knows and recognizes me as the guy who inflicts the Jammers posts on them! :) I haven't seen HJ yet, but I thought I'd pass on a few comments. 1. Adam was the main driving force, IMO, and he and Whalejudge deserve the lion's share of the credit. I'm astounded they pulled it off. Great job, guys! 2. My own goals were simple. I wanted to stay true to Spelljammer while smoothing out the rule inconsistencies that occurred because Spelljammer was so poorly edited and developed haphazardly. I _love_ Spelljammer, I've run an SJ game since 1997 and it's been part of my other campaigns ever since it came out. But the rules were not tied together. I didn't want to recreate it, but just smooth it out. I also wanted to make ship combat a bit cooler (did splinter damage for siege weapons make it in?) and I wanted to add a means of jamming that did not require a mage or priest. 3. And I wanted new stuff for SJ gamers, new spells, ships, ect. And, personally, I wanted a product that I could meld seamlessly into my Jammers campaign. Anyway, just wanted to put that out there. Wow, Jolly Blackburn told us good job. That's awesome! -- "...How shall a man judge what to do in such times?!"
