I am not clear how you intend the number of ioun stones that are
circling the helmsman's head affect the SR.

Should there be a down side, in terms of using this Helm
affecting the ioun stones?

Maybe they all go grey, and cannot be used away from the Helm
until the helmsman has had at least 8hrs sleep (to recharge
them)?

Could you have a rule that if the helmsman has two ioun stones of
the same type then everyone aboard the ship is also affected,
otherwise just the helmsman and anything appropriate to just the
structure of the ship itself?
