This looks quite fun as an unusual place to visit.

You don't mention whether it is possible to land on the
presumably cooler night side, and I am not clear exactly what the
orientation of the moon is to the fire body planet it orbits.

Also, does Hotplate rotate, or is it tidal-locked to the planet?

You say people take 1D6 heat damage, but you don't say how often,
per round or per turn.

Looks interesting!

Might the locals build iron or stone golems to order for rich
outsiders?

How about custom golems for arena fighting?

How about building furnace golems (I think they were) useful for
emergency spelljamming?

Are there any interesting products from the local plants or
animal life? Could bits of the centipede be useful in making
lightning protection items?
