In reference to getting PCs to Asylum:

I think that the PCs have pretty much found their own way of getting there
once someone overhears them talking about flying ships and what-not.
Sounds pretty insane to most groundlings, huh?

"No, really!! There's these little spider-like thingys with eel heads and
they get carried around by these huge clawed mosters that dig tunnels
under the ground and they fly in space in ships shaped like even bigger
spiders and - HEY! What are you doing?! Where are you taking me?!"

I was also thinking of having the PCs framed and pronounced criminally
insane by a court that was paid off by one of their Arch-Nemisis Villans
and shipped off there too. <Without their ship, no less!>

Re: Demon reproduction.

This is a must IMC.  At least I'd have it implied.  What better way to
scare the beejeebers out of timid female PCs?  I have female players who
get freaked out sometimes when I run dark stuff and just knowing that it
could be possible is enough incentive to get far far away from Asylum.

Anyhow, thanks for the responses on gestation.  I was curious about the
time involved so I could maybe make one of my NPCs pregnant there.  Say,
someone important like a Helmsman or Navigator.  Then I could do this
really dramatic scenario where the PCs had to figure out how to handle the
situation knowing that they only had 6 days, 6 hours, and 6 minutes before
she gave birth and was killed in the process.  Bummer, huh?

Or maybe the pregnant one is a princess or something and they're hired by
her farther to check up on his poor "insane" daughter.  Lotsa
Possibilities.
