Description: A Vast gulf between Press perceptions and reality.  How
allies, logistics and terrain limited options in this Afghanistan
battle.

Culture, Warfare, and Military Professionalism (Friday, 8:00 am)
Description: Professionalism is a military 'good' , yet it is a cultural
construct.  This shows how culture shapes military decision makers, and
adds a seldom depicted invisible dimension to the battlefield.

Bio:
Paul Westermeyer holds an MA in Military History from the Ohio State
University and taught history for 8 years at Ohio State University and
Columbus State Community College.  He has also worked as a contract
historian for U.S. Special Operations Command.
