This is *really* interesting.

Can you tell me the context behind this. I don't recall Volo. Where is he from?

How did he do a "grand tour" of the realms? Did he use portals or teleportation to take
people around Toril?

Were they spacefarers or outsiders (or people from other planets that had plane hopped to
Toril)? I can't imagine the locals needing to be told this sort of stuff by a guide.
