Greyspace is named after the City of Greyhawk on the world Oerth.

The 1e book "Greyhawk Adventures" says:

"For some unknown reason the city of Greyhawk gets an unusual amount of attention from
these deities (the Gods of Greyspace) - at least one of these beings usually has an avatar
in the city. Many ballards tell of awe-inspiring confrontations between avatars of
opposite alignment on the city's crowded streets."

If the gods choose Greyhawk as the place in Greyspace they like to hang out in, that is
probably going to be taken by mortals as a sign that they favor the city.

If Bralspace can be named after a small rock, Greyspace can be named after an important
city.
