This sort of interaction with people would not be beyond the sort
of behaviour anticipated of the god Finagle (it's never a good
idea to use the term 'expected' around him...), including
creating a backstory for the 'ancient dwarven prospector', at
least as far as various people previously recalling him. Maybe
with some strange hints that not everthing is quite right...

He is responsible for improbably good luck, if people work hard
enough, as well as implausible chains of mis-chance. At least,
that's what his priests tell you...
