Ahhh... that's different than actually running the LotS boxed set
campaign as described. :)

I shy away from Smalljammers. I kinda like them, but they seem
over-powered.  I think if one appears (and I'd never have more than
one in my game) it would be the property of a very powerful NPC. For
example, Meredith aka Lady Chaos from the comics.

I don't judge it versus my own campaign writing, but against other,
similar, products. :)

My first thought was, 'No way Jeff Grubb wrote LotS.'  So I checked
and you were right. Huh. Just goes to show that no designer always
gets a hit, even one with a solid track record like Jeff Grubb.

It does explain why burid within the bad idea are so many usefyul nuggets. :)
