Gentlemen,

we are all here to share a common interest. Can we please play nice, or
at least put under a new thread title so those of us disinterested can
easily delete it?

Ok, but that doesn't tell me what Dundjinni is. Is it just simple
graphical software with a bunch of pre-print images? is it
        cartographic stuff? is it CAD?

      This should answer your questions...

      http://www.dundjinni.com/

It doesn't, which is why I asked. It looks like a paint program with
labels in some of the description and other parts make it seem like a
mapping program such as CC2. So, which is it?

Were you just trying to be intentionally obtuse? Need your hand to be
held that you won't explore a website a little? I clicked on one link
from the program's website given above and found:

    Product Summary
Dundjinni is a full-featured fantasy map creation program. It allows
users to create walls and floors, place objects, insert text, and more.
It boasts an intuitive interface and an impressive selection of art and
textures. It also allows you to author d20 adventures in a simple yet
elegant way.

    Create Maps
All versions of Dundjinni give you the ability to create custom maps with the following toolset:
    • Paint (freehand, curve, line)
    • Fill
    • Marquee (freehand, square, circle, polygon, combine, retract)
    • Erase (freehand, curve, line)
    • Move
    • Rotate (freehand, 45 degree)
    • Text
    • Shadows
    • Bevels
    • Zoom
    • Snap to grid
    • Square and Hex grids
    • Import PNG objects
    • Print maps
    • Export maps to PNG, JPG, and BMP
    • Much More!

    Create Adventures
With the Gold and Platinum versions you have the ability to create
custom adventures with the following toolset:
    • Character dialog
    • Monster Dialog
    • Treasure Dialog
    • Door Dialog
    • Pit Dialog
    • Trap Dialog
    • Feature Dialog
    • Story Dialog
    • Room Dialog
    • Import stats from eTools
    • Export adventure to HTML and XML
    • Much More!

    Token Packs
Tokens represent characters or monsters. They can be printed with a
map or separately (for use as a game-time playing aid). Reaper
Characters and Reaper Monsters (both using images from Reaper
Miniatures) are included in the Gold and Plantinum versions of Dundjinni
respectively. Token Pack: Reaper Humainoids shipped in July. More Token
Packs are in the works.

    Stat Packs
Create adventures more quickly by using stat blocks from various
published material. Gold and Platinum include a huge amount of data from
leading publishers. More Stat Packs are in the works.

    Art Packs
Expand your palette of objects and textures with Art Packs.
Currently available are Castle, Temple, Village, Campaign, and Animals.
(NOTE: Dundjinni Platinum already includes the first three Art Packs
listed.) More Art Packs are in the works.

There is all that and more. Most informative are usually reviews, and
there are links to reviews as well. Try these:

  And german review, translated:

Come one now, how tough was that? Don't tell, I don't really want to know. ;)
