(1) Do you envision Mirror Prime as a whole planet (long ago unified into a
single, global empire and then expanding to the stars) or a small worldlet,
similar to the rock of Bral perhaps?

I believe the original post mentioned it as being an asteroid. I think that
is the best way to go. My idea was actually more of a Sphere devoid of
bodies larger than size b or so. (much akin to most of Astromundi cluster).
The other worlds can become worldlets.

The original Mirror gained it's name from being a highly metallic asteroid
that was polished to a mirror sheen. Not only did this look stunning, but it
also put attackers at a distinct disadvantage as they would always be
suffering the massive amounts of reflected light in their eyes. A special
docking cavern was excavated for incoming Illithid ships and others with low
light tolerance. A city guard would be sent aboard to handle the piloting
and navigation while the light sensitive races would hide from the glare
belowdecks. The city itself could be exquisitely crafted (dwarves maybe)
silvery towers. My vision is that it would be similar in architecture to
Immryr (Elric's home city in Michael Moorcock's works)
