The current campaign I am running The sphere the PC's are in is a Dysan Sphere, and they are on the inside (but this does not matter yet. The PC's started at level 1 and became crew on a grounded ship crewed by gnome / elf halfbreeds. The result is elves that appear to have ADHD, but understand gnomish technology. The PC's are groundlings. The captain of the ship is in search of a helm or treasure enough to buy one. To this end the PC's (who were recruited because they know how to swim) end up investigating any downed ship they can het word of. So far I have used a couple of mini-adventures from the "treasure Maps" package (now downloadable from WoTC) expanding them into adventures. Now the characters are about 3rd level, they have obtained helms from a downed cuddle command (told to them by an old wizard who survived a crash, and walked away swearing never to return to spelljamming) The wizard gave them the map so the player's ship could retrieve a spell component for him. This idea I took from the btm campaign idea "Diamond star" I'm just unsure what component they are going after, the diamond star does not fit verry well in the sphere I'm using.
