Re: 3.5 spell conversions

Priests never had access to create major helm so you may wish to
prevent them from having access in 3.x as well.  Also, why can't other
classes use this (especially druid)?

In the final 2e versions (the ones appearing in the Complete Spell
Compendia) casting this spell and the create minor helm (below)
permanently drained a hp from the caster.  In 3e I assume this means it
would drain Xps.

What about bards, druids, paladins, adepts, assassins, etc.?  In 3e I
imagine some of these would have access (especially adepts).

I think duration in 3e would probably be reduced but I'm not enough of
a 3e afficionado to really say.  I'm just going by other, general,
comments I've seen on converting spells to 3e.  Also, tonnage of both
these spells might be reduced in 3e.

I have similar comments on the other spells about allowable classes
since the 3e spell lists are all seperate now (rather than
homogenized).  Also, I think the casting level of some could be
adjusted for 3e (for instance locate portal and create portal might
have lower casting levels).
