Yep.  Had in one game, a tactic worked out (with our ship's helmsman) where
we would approach the opponent like we were going to do a rigging sheer
attack, then as we pass over, canter to teh side 90 degrees so all our
broadside weapons fire into their upper decks...

Or come under them, canter and fire into their keel...
