Most people (that I've seen) ignore the effect of SJ on groundlings.
Either by using various methods of keeping SJ and groundlings from
interacting (at least on large worlds) or simply ignoring how SJ would
alter the world (much like magic's ability to alter a world is
ignored--as in FR--or made rare enough that it doesn't matter that
much).  I've pretty mcuh adopted the first approach but either is fine
if that's what you want.
